Employment opportunities for youth top priority: PM

Islamabad, Nov 15 (TNS): Prime Minister Imran Khan says ensuring the provision of education, health and employment opportunities to the youth is the foremost priority of the PTI government.

Presiding over a meeting of Prime Minister’s Youth Program in Islamabad, he said that a comprehensive and detailed program is being chalked out to ensure participation of youth in education, employment and other sectors.

He emphasized the need to pay special attention on education, training and provision of employment to the youth in the country.

The Prime Minister said special portals should be established for youth of the country utilizing modern technology so that they can give their suggestions and ideas to the government, which will prove fruitful for country’s future.

Chairing a briefing on the National Education Policy Framework in Islamabad, Prime Minister emphasized focusing on skill development of youth to effectively utilize their immense potential.

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood gave a detailed presentation on the Policy identifying various challenges including out of school children, quality of education and skill development issues.
