Govt institutions saving PM: Imran

Islamabad June 14 (TNS):  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (TNS) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday said that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) petition in Supreme Court shows that government institutions were obstructing the investigation into the Panama Papers case to save “a corrupt” prime minister.

“The JIT report on how all government institutions are collaborating to obstruct justice and save a corrupt PM is why I asked NS (Nawaz Sharf) to resign when JIT was formed,” the PTI chief said in a tweet.

Earlier, the PTI filed an application in the Supreme Court drawing its attention towards the overt and covert hurdles being put by the government into a fair and transparent probe and the threats being hurled by ministers and PM’s advisers at the JIT. The PTI said that the ministers have directed their guns at the JIT to make the probe controversial in an attempt to save the Sharif family.
