Govt will provide relief to deserving people in Punjab amid coronavirus pandemic: Sarwar


Lahore: May 15, 2020 (TNS): UN Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator in Pakistan Julien Harneis called on Punjab Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar in Lahore.

Prevailing situation of coronavirus was discussed during the meeting.

Speaking on this occasion, the Governor said that government has taken all out measures and will take more strict measures for lockdown.

He informed him that six hundred thousand ration bag have been delivered to needy and deprived segment of society.

He also lauded role of philanthropists that come forward in this hour of need and help others.

The Governor said that thirty-six telemedicine centers are providing services to people.

On this occasion, UN Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator in Pakistan Julien Harnies praised establishment of telemedicines for masses.

He said establishing telemedicine for women and for mental health is a good step towards mental well-being.

Julien Harnies also stressed for more social distancing in this pandemic.
