Haider Rasool awarded “Golden Whistle”


LAHORE July 14 (TNS): The Pakistani  hockey umpire Haider Rasool  was awarded ‘Golden Whistle” on Friday by international Hockey Federation (FIH) during the hockey match between Germany and South Africa and his country feels proud for receiving such international awarded

Haider has become the first Pakistani to do umpiring in 100 international hockey matches.

He also umpired in the Commonwealth Games, Champions Trophy, Asian Games, Junior Hockey World Cup, Asian Champions Trophy, World Hockey League, Asia Cup, and Pan American Cup among other high-profile tournaments, before taking up hockey umpiring.
