{"id":100829,"date":"2022-01-27T22:55:19","date_gmt":"2022-01-27T17:55:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=100829"},"modified":"2022-01-27T22:57:08","modified_gmt":"2022-01-27T17:57:08","slug":"historical-treasures-discovered-by-accident-in-tarbela-ghazi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=100829","title":{"rendered":"Historical treasures discovered by accident in Tarbela Ghazi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TARBELA: Jan 27, 2022 (TNS): The residents of Khaloo village, situated in Tarbela Ghazi, on Thursday accidently found sculptures of historical significance during the expansion of a cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Historical treasures discovered by accident in Tarbela Ghazi<br \/>\nAssistant Superintendent of Police Khadija Omar talking to APP disclosed details of the discovery and said she was approached by a local Mudassar Jameel, Chairman of Hasaas group and reported with the archeological treasures and handed them over to her.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/statue.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"459\" height=\"642\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-100834\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/statue.jpg 459w, https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/statue-214x300.jpg 214w, https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/statue-300x420.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 459px) 100vw, 459px\" \/><br \/>\nShe said the discovery was unique in its nature and they had involved the Archaeological Department to ensure the place\u2019s further excavation and protection of the treasure. For the purpose, she said, a 30 meters area was cordoned off and three police officials were deployed around the Khaloo village\u2019s graveyard.<\/p>\n<p>Khadija informed that the locals were working on the expansion of the cemetery when they found two sculptures in well shape, assumed to be belonging from the Buddhists\u2019 Gandhara Civilization.<\/p>\n<p>The valuable treasure, she said, had been handed over to Archeology Department for further inquiry and more possible discoveries.
