{"id":113617,"date":"2023-02-23T08:32:12","date_gmt":"2023-02-23T03:32:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=113617"},"modified":"2023-02-23T08:32:12","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T03:32:12","slug":"kabuls-inaction-on-ttp-due-to-mixed-signals-by-pakistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=113617","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Kabul\u2019s inaction on TTP due to mixed signals by Pakistan\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FOREIGN Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that mixed signals from the Pakistan side were responsible for the Afghan Taliban\u2019s inaction against the outlawed TTP.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with German broadcaster\u00a0<em>DW Urdu<\/em>, the foreign minister said the previous government was asking the interim Afghan government to facilitate reconciliation with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and had plans to resettle the militants in Pakistan. But every Pakistani was demanding that terrorists who were involved in heinous attacks such as the Army Public School massacre could never be \u201cour friends\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in an interview with\u00a0<em>CNBC<\/em>, the foreign minister blamed the PTI government for negotiating with terrorists without any precondition. They want the military to help them bring them back to power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Economy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mr Bhutto-Zardari said widespread devastation of standing crops due to flood, combined with the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine had impacted Pakistan\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>On Pakistan\u2019s ability to honour its debt repayments, the foreign minister said there should be no doubt about Pakistan\u2019s ability to live up to its economic commitments even though recent events have thrown the economy off track.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Bhutto-Zardari told\u00a0<em>DW Urdu<\/em>\u00a0that Pakistan was taking a number of steps to solve the economic crisis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FOREIGN Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has said that mixed signals from the Pakistan side were responsible for the Afghan Taliban\u2019s inaction against the outlawed TTP.
