In the Davis Cup tie in Islamabad, India defeated Pakistan’s Aqeel Khan and Muzamil Murtaza 2-6, 6-7 in the doubles match. Pakistan’s top tennis star and considered doubles specialist Aisam-ul-Haq could not participate in the Davis Cup matches on Sunday due to a hamstring injury, which dealt a further blow to Pakistan’s hopes of winning the match.
