\nIslamabad (TNS) Islamabad will host a two-day international conference on girls’ education in Muslim communities at the Jinnah Convention Center from January 11, 2025
\nPrime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the conference held at the Jinnah Convention Center Islamabad. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the conference. The conference is being jointly hosted by the Islamic World Coordination and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The opening ceremony will be attended by Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Hasin Ibrahim Taha, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other federal ministers. OIC Special Representative for Afghanistan Tariq Bakhit and other OIC officials will also attend the conference. The aim of the conference is to establish a network between governments, Islamic and civil organizations regarding girls’ education. Around 55 delegations from 30 countries will participate in the 2-day conference to be held in Pakistan. Delegations from several Muslim countries including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan will participate in the conference.
\nJointly organized by the Muslim World League (RAB) and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the conference is expected to be attended by more than 50 delegations from different countries, including education ministers from more than 30 countries.
\nThe main objective of the event is to establish a collaborative network between governments, Islamic organizations and civil society to advance girls\u2019 education in Muslim communities.
\nDelegations from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and other Muslim countries are expected to participate.
\nThe conference will focus on proposing actionable strategies to promote girls\u2019 education and removing barriers to access and quality education for these communities.
\nThe Deputy Prime Minister\/ Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq chaired the meeting of the inter-ministerial committee for the International Conference on \u201cGirls Education in Muslim Communities: Challenges and Opportunities\u201d 11-12 January, 2025. The Inter-Ministerial Committee for the event, chaired by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, held, meeting was attended by the Minister of Information Ataullah Tarar, Minister of Federal Education and Federal Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Minister Youth Affairs, Rana Mashhood Ahmed, Foreign Secretary and Secretary Education. The meeting was attended by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Education and Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Minister for Youth Affairs Rana Mashhood Ahmed, as well as the Foreign Secretary and the Education Secretary, who discussed the agenda and key aspects of logistics for the conference.
\nThe event’s primary objective is to establish a collaborative network among governments, Islamic organizations, and civil society to advance girls’ education in Muslim communities.<\/p>\n

The inter-ministerial committee for the event, chaired by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, held a preparatory meeting.<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, Minister of Federal Education and Training Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Minister of Youth Affairs Rana Mashhood Ahmed, as well as the Foreign Secretary and Secretary Education, who discussed key aspects of the conference’s agenda and logistics.<\/p>\n
This significant event underscores Pakistan’s commitment to addressing critical issues related to education, particularly for girls in Muslim communities.<\/p>\n
