Khawaja Asif retains his position as Defence Minister, and Azam Nazir Tarar has been assigned the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Human Rights.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other key appointments include:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Abdul Aleem Khan \u2013 Minister for Communications<\/li>\n<li>Musadik Malik \u2013 Minister for Climate Change<\/li>\n<li>Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui \u2013 Minister for Education<\/li>\n<li>Chaudhry Salik \u2013 Minister for Overseas Pakistanis<\/li>\n<li>Rana Tanveer \u2013 Minister for National Food Security<\/li>\n<li>Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh \u2013 Chairman, Board of Investment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Additional ministerial assignments are as follows:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tariq Fazal Chaudhry \u2013 Parliamentary Affairs<\/li>\n<li>Ali Pervaiz Malik \u2013 Petroleum<\/li>\n<li>Khalid Hussain Magsi \u2013 Science and Technology<\/li>\n<li>Muhammad Munir Wattoo \u2013 Water Resources<\/li>\n<li>Aurangzeb Khichi \u2013 National Heritage and Culture<\/li>\n<li>Muhammad Junaid Anwar \u2013 Maritime Affairs<\/li>\n<li>Raza Hayat Hiraj \u2013 Defence Production<\/li>\n<li>Sardar Yousaf \u2013 Religious Affairs<\/li>\n<li>Shaza Fatima \u2013 Information Technology<\/li>\n<li>Rana Mubashir Iqbal \u2013 Public Affairs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new cabinet members were sworn in on February 27 in a ceremony administered by President Asif Ali Zardari.
