It should be noted that the military confrontation between India and Pakistan began when India blamed Islamabad for an attack on tourists in the tourist resort of Pahalgam in occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Talking about India\u2019s actions in Kashmir, he accused India of trying to \u201cinternalize the issue and harass the people\u201d of Kashmir with a heavy military presence (in occupied Kashmir).<\/p>\n
The DG ISPR said, \u201cThis is an issue that the Kashmiri people have to resolve as per the UN Security Council resolution.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cWhoever tries to violate our territorial integrity and sovereignty, our response will be befitting.\u201d<\/p>\n
The DG ISPR warned that \u201cserious tensions between India and Pakistan will destroy both countries under the concept of \u2018mutual assured destruction\u2019.\u201d Mutual assured destruction or MAD is a principle of military strategy and national security policy that holds that the use of nuclear weapons in a war between two nuclear-armed countries will destroy both countries.
