I have tried to sum up his notable initiatives and contributions till August 2025 which are as under;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1. Enhancing Institutional Coordination and Service Delivery<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A hallmark of Mohsin Naqvi\u2019s leadership has been efforts to bridge operational gaps among Ministry of Interior and its departments. Under his direction, a significant meeting was held on 11 June 2025, during which he stressed the importance of cooperation across varied agencies ranging from NADRA, FIA, Anti-Narcotics Control, Police, forces, CDA, ICT, Immigration, Cybercrime units, to frontier corps. Those proposals were meant for paving the way for a comprehensive plan to elevate public service performance on fast track on the basis of best of best national and international standards and practices.<\/p>\n<p>These steps signal a leadership vision grounded in institutional synergy and responsiveness key drivers for enhanced governance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Strengthening Security and Counterterrorism<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Division Minister Naqvi placed strong emphasis on operational readiness and morale within the security apparatus:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On March 8, 2025, he commended security forces for a successful intelligence-led operation in Tank District, safeguarding citizens by neutralizing militants with professionalism. \ufffc<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In July 2024, he carried out an aerial security assessment of the 9th Muharram procession in Islamabad, issuing comprehensive directives to ensure public safety through coordinated deployment of police, snipers, and contingency measures like drones prohibition. \ufffc<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Earlier, on 24 November 2024, he conducted aerial surveillance over Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Attock to evaluate security arrangements and reaffirmed that no disruptions to peace and order would be tolerated. \ufffc<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Further showing strong will and encouragement for law enforcement agencies, Mohsin Naqvi made an early-morning morale-boosting visit to police lines, urging officers to uphold law, wear protective gear, and prepare for all scenarios. \ufffc<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Collectively, these actions reflect a commitment to proactive oversight, threat mitigation, and empowerment of frontline personnel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3. Advancing Intelligence Integration: NIFTAC<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the most significant institutional developments during Mohsin Naqvi\u2019s tenure is the approval and inauguration of the National Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Centre (NIFTAC). The Centre was endorsed during a 5 April 2025 NACTA board meeting (chaired by Mohsin Naqvi), and the facility was inaugurated on 6 May 2025 by the Honourable Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. \ufffc<\/p>\n<p>NIFTAC aims to unify over 50 federal and provincial agencies into a centralized hub for intelligence sharing, threat assessment, and coordinated action. Successful Diplomatic Outreach<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beyond internal governance, Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Divisions, Mohsin Naqvi has maintained a visible and effective presence in diplomatic and public spheres:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On the diplomatic front, he engaged with several foreign counterparts: including meetings with the UK Deputy Foreign Minister, Saudi Interior Ministry officials, and Turkish and Hungarian interior ministers highlighting Pakistan\u2019s openness to security-related collaboration. \ufffc<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0His outreach extended to promoting soft power and community relations, such as inviting the US Acting Ambassador to attend Jashn-e-Baharan.<\/p>\n<p>These gestures promote both internal unity and broader international cooperation on governance and security.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Under the dynamic leadership of Federal Interior Minister and Narcotics Divisions, Mohsin Naqvi\u2019 through August 2025 can be characterized by:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A strong drive to enhance institutional coordination and accountability.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strategic investments in public security and frontline morale.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Structural innovation with the launch of NIFTAC and its provincial counterparts.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Symbolic and substantive diplomatic engagements.<\/p>\n<p>While challenge such as political tensions, security complexities, and managing institutional expectations\u2014persist, Mohsin Naqvi\u2019s multi-pronged approach marks a concerted effort toward strengthening internal security frameworks and public service delivery in Pakistan \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf0.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>6- Mohsin Naqvi\u2019s Development Initiatives in Islamabad through CDA<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1. Reviving Stalled Sectors &amp; Allottee Rights<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In May 2024, Mohsin Naqvi visited CDA headquarters and expressed strong displeasure at sectors that had remained undeveloped for two decades. He urged immediate development and the timely handing over of possession to allottees who had paid long ago\ufffc.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0He also ordered the digitization of land record, effectiveness of one-window system to streamline citizen services, and directed the smart-app\u2019s rollout and a 24\/7 call center setup to enhance accessibility \ufffc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Pushing for a World-Class Capital<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0July 2024 marked a major push toward modernization: Mohsin Naqvi decided to:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Mandate CDA to procure only electric motorbikes, ban petrol motorcycles, and launch eco-friendly electric buses for public transport.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Transfer emergency services from the Municipal Corporation Islamabad to CDA and accelerate the creation of a dedicated Capital WASA for water and sanitation.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Prioritize long-delayed infrastructure like the Serena Chowk underpass, Jinnah Avenue underpass, the F-8 Recep Tayyip Erdogan bridge and speeding up completion of the Islamabad Expressway.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Fast-track development of stalled sectors, expedite the Islamabad Model Jail\u2019s first phase, and launch Business Facilitation Centers for investors, while allocating land for a Health Tower in sector H-16\ufffc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>3. Traffic Solutions &amp; Mega Projects<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On November 1, 2024, Naqvi directed CDA to launch two key interchange projects:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Serena Chowk Interchange, with planned completion in record time.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange, also completed in record time.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0He also approved alternative traffic plans, formed a 24\/7 traffic-management unit, and emphasized uninterrupted flow during construction \ufffc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4. Beautification &amp; SCO Summit Preparations<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ahead of the SCO Summit, in October 2024 Mohsin Naqvi supervised beautification efforts of Red Zone VIP routes, ensured landscaping with fancy lighting, and fast-tracked renovation of the Jinnah Convention Center.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0He also stressed a crackdown on illegal housing societies and coordinated joint operations with Rawalpindi administration against dengue hotspots\ufffc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>5. Rainfall Response &amp; Drainage Oversight<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Following heavy rains in Islamabad from time to time especially in moon soon season, Mohsin Naqvi directed CDA to urgently drain water from low-lying areas, keep drainage teams active until the task\u2019s completion, and maintain smooth traffic flow during operations \ufffc.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>6. Protecting Public Lands &amp; Sector Development<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In December 2024, while visiting Sector C-14, Mohsin Naqvi ordered action against land grabbers to safeguard Margalla Hills National Park and other public lands.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0He pushed for faster development in C-14, C-15, E-12, and I-12, so that plot possession post-completion, and special allotment consideration for overseas Pakistanis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Divisions\u2019s key focus was<\/p>\n<p>Sector Development &amp; Allotment Revived stalled sectors, ensured possession to buyers<\/p>\n<p>Digitization &amp; Citizen Services Digital land records, smart app, one-window service<\/p>\n<p>Environmental Initiatives Electric vehicles, waste-management, WASA setup<\/p>\n<p>Traffic Infrastructure Serena and F-8 interchanges, Faizabad Interchange, Shaheen Chowk underpass,<\/p>\n<p>T-Chowk and express way as well as anti encroachment drive across Islamabad which resulted in effective actions by CDA, DMA regarding removal of encroachments across Islamabad. Similarly, traffic flow in Islamabad was monitored and a strategy was devised and put in place to streamline traffic flow besides constructions of various underpasses and interchanges besides decision to have parking plazas in various busy markets and roads Islamabad. Similarly,<\/p>\n<p>Aesthetic &amp; Event Prep Landscaping, lighting, SCO summit beautification as well as transformation of CDA Nursery into Gardenia Hub was a great success.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency &amp; Drainage Response Flood control and drainage during heavy rains<\/p>\n<p>Land Protection Action against encroachments as well as conservation of public lands are the few hallmarks of Mohsin Naqvi \u2018s excellent tenure as Minister for Interior and Narcotics Division till August 2025 but sky is the limit.
