Islamabad, March 13,2026 (TNS): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has arrested a suspect allegedly involved in visa fraud and illegal emigration after he reportedly extorted millions of rupees from a citizen on the promise of arranging a work visa for New Zealand.<\/p>\n
According to officials, the case was registered as FIR No. 10\/2026 dated February 9, 2026, under Sections 18 and 22 of the Emigration Ordinance, 1979, read with Section 489-F of the Pakistan Penal Code, at the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n
The arrested suspect has been identified as Attiq Ahmad, son of Iqbal Ahmad. Authorities traced and apprehended the accused on March 12.<\/p>\n
FIA officials said the suspect allegedly extorted Rs6.8 million from the complainant on the pretext of arranging a New Zealand work visa for the complainant\u2019s son, Jibral Ahmad. However, the accused neither secured the promised visa nor returned the money.<\/p>\n
After completing the required legal formalities, the FIA arrested the suspect and will produce him before the court to seek physical remand for further investigation.<\/p>\n
