Islamabad (TNS) IGP Islamabad reviews progress on public service, training and welfare initiatives,,According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired important meetings. During these meetings, a comprehensive review was conducted of the overall performance of the police department, the quality of public service, and internal reforms.The meetings were attended by DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, AIG Investigations\/Complaints Syed Inayat Ali Shah, SSP Federal Prisons Ali Akbar, along with other police officers.IGP Islamabad reviewed in detail the progress on the targets assigned to officers, especially regarding public service delivery, public facilitation, professional training of police officers and police welfare, and issued clear directions to further improve performance.He directed all officers to align the public service delivery system with modern requirements and ensure the provision of timely and respectful services to citizens. He also emphasized making public facilitation centers at police stations more active and effective so that citizens do not face unnecessary delays or difficulties.He directed that the professional training of police officers and officials should continue consistently, with special emphasis on moral values, patience, and courteous behavior toward citizens. Measures for police welfare should be expanded to ensure the well-being of personnel, thereby improving their performance.IGP Islamabad further stated that the primary duty of the police is to create ease for citizens and ensure the protection of their lives and property. He reiterated the commitment that adopting exemplary behavior toward citizens and promoting a spirit of service should be the top priority of the police.He further directed all officers to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility, while promoting teamwork and coordination to achieve clear improvements in institutional performance.Additionally, the IGP Islamabad directed all officers to adopt a comprehensive strategy to further improve professional affairs, performance, and service delivery, promote the use of modern technology, ensure timely resolution of complaints, and strengthen the accountability system.He emphasized that maintaining public trust is the foundation of police success; therefore, transparency, merit, and the rule of law must be ensured at all levels.<\/p>\n
