ISLAMABAD (TNS) Pakistan\u2019s talented taekwondo athlete Saniya Nouman, a BS Psychology student at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad. She also represents Quaid-i-Azam university in Pakistan Intervarsity championships, under the mentorship of Dr. Muhammad Safdar Ali (Dir. Sports) QAU, Islamabad.
\nRepresenting Pakistan under managership of Mr. Aoun Abbas, Vice President Pakistan Taekwondo Federation. Saniya competed in the -46 kg weight category. She secured the Gold Medal in the Poomsae event by defeating a Sri Lankan athlete and also secured the Bronze Medal in Kyorugi event after overcoming an Indonesian opponent. She has achieved remarkable success at the 9th Heroes International Taekwondo Championship 2026, held in Pattaya City, Thailand from 31 July to 2 August 2026. Her outstanding performance reflects Pakistan\u2019s growing strength in international taekwondo.
\nA 1st DAN Black Belt, Saniya trains under Coaches Mr. Shahab Uddin, Muslim Taekwondo Club and Mr. Abdul Ahad. Her achievement is a testament to her dedication, discipline, and the continuous support of her coaches, club, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, and Quaid-i- Azam University.<\/p>\n
The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Muslim Taekwondo Club, and the wider sporting community have congratulated Saniya Nouman on her success and expressed confidence that she will continue to win honours for Pakistan at future international competitions.
