Participants were encouraged to ensure that babies are put to the breast within the first few minutes after birth, describing breastfeeding as the best start for every baby.<br \/>\nSindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho attended the closing ceremony and distributed certificates among the participating nurses and midwives.<br \/>\nThe ceremony was also attended by PPA President Dr. Khalid, Professor Dr. Jamal Raza, and Dr. Nighat Shah.<br \/>\nNurses and midwives gave highly positive feedback on the workshop and emphasized the need to discourage traditional practices such as khewa, ghutti and honey (shahd) for newborns.
