Karachi (TNS) Karachi An important meeting of office-bearers from all city areas of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) District West Karachi and members of the Sindh Council was held under the chairmanship of PPP District West President Abid Hussain Satti. The meeting finalized arrangements for the programme scheduled for October 18 to pay tribute to the martyrs of Karsaz.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by PPP District West Senior Vice President Siddiq Akbar, Information Secretary Ali Akbar Kachhelo, and other party leaders and office-bearers.<\/p>\n

It was decided that Quran recitation and collective prayers for the departed souls of the martyrs of Karsaz would be held on October 18 at 4:00 pm. Furthermore, candles would be lit at the Karsaz Martyrs\u2019 Memorial on the evening of October 17 to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for democracy.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, PPP District West President Abid Hussain Satti paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Karsaz, stating that their sacrifices represented an unforgettable chapter in Pakistan\u2019s democratic history. He said the martyrs had laid down their lives in defence of democracy, public rights, and their commitment to the ideology of the Pakistan Peoples Party.<\/p>\n

He added that their sacrifices would always be remembered and that their mission would continue.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by presidents, general secretaries, and information secretaries of all city areas in District West, along with representatives of the Pakistan Peoples Youth Organization, Pakistan Peoples Students Federation, Minority Wing, Peoples Ladies Wing, Zakat Committee chairpersons, town chairpersons, and other party office-bearers.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants expressed their determination to make the October 18 programme a success. All organizational office-bearers were urged to fulfil their responsibilities effectively to ensure that the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for democracy received a fitting tribute.<\/p>\n
