Islamabad (TNS) Afghan accused Abdullah and Malhe Khan, who had been arrested and were on physical remand in a case of snatching a mobile phone from a woman, attempting to rape her, and injuring her within the limits of Secretariat Police Station, were killed during police firing in the Rawal Town area of Shahzad Town Police Station.Police had taken the accused to a scrap yard near Rawal Town in the Shahzad Town area for the identification, arrest, and recovery of other accused.Meanwhile, four armed accused hiding in the jungle opened indiscriminate fire on the police team with the intention of freeing the under-custody accused.The under-custody accused Abdullah and Malhe Khan were injured by the firing of their own companions. The police team remained safe due to bulletproof jackets and safety measures. The injured accused were shifted to hospital for medical treatment and later succumbed to their injuries.Both Abdullah and Malhe Khan are Afghan nationals. They had been arrested and were on physical remand in the case of snatching a mobile phone from a woman, attempting rape, and injuring her in the Secretariat Police Station area.
