{"id":14531,"date":"2017-08-19T12:43:17","date_gmt":"2017-08-19T07:43:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=14531"},"modified":"2017-08-19T12:43:17","modified_gmt":"2017-08-19T07:43:17","slug":"22-suspect-militants-surrender-in-baluchistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=14531","title":{"rendered":"22 suspect militants surrender in Baluchistan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>QUETTA Aug.19 (TNS):<\/strong> As part of the ongoing political reconciliation in Baluchistan, 22 more suspected militants including a commander of the banned organization Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) surrendered before the security forces in a ceremony held at Frontier Corps (FC) Madadgar Headquarters in Quetta, the military&#8217;s media wing reported.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations, the surrender was a part of the larger political reconciliation process in Baluchistan which has led to many militants surrendering recently.<\/p>\n<p>Baluchistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and other civilian and military officials were present on the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>The largest province of the country by area is home to a low-level insurgency by ethnic Baloch separatists. Al Qaeda-linked militants also operate in the region.
