Beijing, August 22 (TNS):<\/strong> Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has lauded Pakistan’s contributions and great sacrifices made in the fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n

He was talking to Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua in Beijing on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Chinese Foreign Minister said the international community should fully recognize these efforts.<\/p>\n

President Trump while presenting America\u2019s new policy pertaining to the war in Afghanistan\u00a0also lambasted Pakistan for allegedly harbouring \u201cagents of chaos, violence, and terror\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Chinese top diplomat reaffirmed Beijing’s continuing and firm support to Pakistan and vowed to further strengthen all-weather strategic friendship with Pakistan.<\/p>\n

The Foreign Secretary reiterated Pakistan’s support to China on all issues of its core interest.<\/p>\n

Pakistan and China agreed to continue close consultations on efforts for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and underscored the importance of the Trilateral Afghanistan-China-Pakistan Foreign Minister’s meeting.

\nThe two officials also discussed Pak-China relations, regional, global issues as well as the situation in occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n

She said the recent visit of Vice-Prime Minister\u00a0Wang Yang on the occasion of the country\u2019s 70th Independence anniversary had further solidified the time tested friendship between the two neighbouring countries.<\/p>\n
