{"id":15652,"date":"2017-08-25T15:17:31","date_gmt":"2017-08-25T10:17:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=15652"},"modified":"2017-08-25T15:17:31","modified_gmt":"2017-08-25T10:17:31","slug":"high-time-to-politely-gratefully-refuse-us-assistance-shehbaz-sharif","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=15652","title":{"rendered":"High time to politely, gratefully refuse US assistance: Shehbaz Sharif"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LAHORE Aug. 25 (TNS):<\/strong> Responding to US President Donald Trump\u2019s hard line strategy on Afghanistan and Pakistan Chief Minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif said that the nation must politely close the chapter on US assistance to save face.<\/p>\n<p>CM Shehbaz Sahrif, the (PML-N) leader tweeted on Friday: \u201cIt is time for Pakistan to politely and gratefully close the chapter on US assistance so that the bilateral relationship can be freed from the shadow of contemptuous taunts\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In another tweet he stated that \u201cWe must view current geopolitical and security challenges faced by Pakistan as an unprecedented opportunity to begin to define truly sovereign and independent vision of its future in line with the ideals of its founding fathers,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPakistanis have already rendered enough sacrifices in man and material for achievement of shared objectives of terror-free and peaceful world.\u201d Shehbaz added in another tweet.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement Shehbaz said that Pakistani people want to be treated \u201cfairly, honorably and justly\u201d and want a peaceful and prosperous world.
