{"id":16139,"date":"2017-08-28T14:17:56","date_gmt":"2017-08-28T09:17:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=16139"},"modified":"2017-08-28T14:17:56","modified_gmt":"2017-08-28T09:17:56","slug":"sheikh-rashid-moves-sc-to-reopen-hudaibiya-paper-mills-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=16139","title":{"rendered":"Sheikh Rashid moves SC to reopen Hudaibiya\u00a0Paper Mills case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD Aug. 28 (TNS):<\/strong>\u00a0Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, on Monday, moved an application in the Supreme Court, requesting it to direct NAB to file an appeal against Lahore High Court\u2019s three-year-old order to quash a reference against the Sharifs in Hudaibiya\u00a0Paper Mills case.<\/p>\n<p>Rashid,\u00a0a petitioner in the Panamagate case filed a Civil Miscellaneous Application (CMA) requesting that the judge responsible\u00a0for\u00a0supervising NAB proceedings\u00a0should\u00a0direct the bureau to file an appeal\u00a0to reopen the Rs1.2 billion Hudaibiya scam against the Sharif family.<\/p>\n<p>The applicant contended that despite giving an undertaking\u00a0to file\u00a0the appeal against LHC\u2019s order within seven days, NAB did not challenge the three-year-old LHC order.<\/p>\n<p>Further, Rashid\u00a0requested the\u00a0apex court to initiate contempt proceedings against\u00a0NAB\u00a0Chairman\u00a0Qamar Zaman Chaudhry and prosecutor general NAB, regarding their failure to file an appeal against the high court\u2019s order as per undertaken by Additional PG Akbar Tarar before the three-judge bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD Aug. 28 (TNS):\u00a0Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, on Monday, moved an application in the Supreme Court, requesting it to direct NAB to file an appeal against Lahore High Court\u2019s three-year-old order to quash a reference against the Sharifs in Hudaibiya\u00a0Paper Mills case.
