{"id":28155,"date":"2017-11-01T13:54:14","date_gmt":"2017-11-01T08:54:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=28155"},"modified":"2017-11-01T13:54:14","modified_gmt":"2017-11-01T08:54:14","slug":"death-toll-due-to-poisoned-lassi-in-muzaffargarh-climbs-to-16-as-minor-dies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=28155","title":{"rendered":"Death toll due to poisoned Lassi in Muzaffargarh climbs to 16 as minor dies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MUZAFFARGARH Nov 01 (TNS):<\/strong> A young girl was the latest to lose her life after consuming poisoned Lassi in Alipur tehsil&#8217;s neighbourhood Lashari, bringing the total tally to 16.<\/p>\n<p>All 16 belong to the same family and died after allegedly being given poisoned Lassi to drink by the daughter-in-law, while eleven continue to be under medical supervision.<\/p>\n<p>Police said a woman, identified as 20-year-old Aasia, conspired with her lover Shahid and his aunt Zarina Mai to kill the members of her husband&#8217;s family.<\/p>\n<p>She was accused of poisoning a container of milk that her husband, Amjad, was to consume.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, did not consume the poisoned milk, which was later used to make Lassi \u2013 a milk and yogurt-based drink \u2013 that resulted in the death of 16 people.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect denied all allegations levelled against her when the accused were presented before the media.<\/p>\n<p>The three suspects were presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court in DG Khan late Tuesday and sent into police custody on a 14-day physical remand.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MUZAFFARGARH Nov 01 (TNS): A young girl was the latest to lose her life after consuming poisoned Lassi in Alipur tehsil&#8217;s neighbourhood Lashari, bringing the total tally to 16.
