{"id":28234,"date":"2017-11-01T16:57:03","date_gmt":"2017-11-01T11:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=28234"},"modified":"2017-11-01T16:57:03","modified_gmt":"2017-11-01T11:57:03","slug":"all-nab-cases-to-be-moved-to-new-accountability-commission-law-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=28234","title":{"rendered":"All NAB cases to be moved to new accountability commission: Law Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD Nov 01 (TNS):<\/strong> Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid said on Wednesday that all National Accountability Beureu under-trial proceedings will be moved to the new national accountability commission.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in a parliamentary committee to review NAB laws, he said that government does not plan to close any NAB case or inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>Hamid said that as NAB laws were too strict, a new accountability commission is being set up.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All major political parties are supporting the new accountability commission,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>In August, The leaders of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the opposition Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) agreed to form a new body to replace the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).<\/p>\n<p>The parties agreed to form National Accountability Commission in place of NAB during a parliamentary session on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>However, the two parties agreed that the commission will only have the authority to investigate federal institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The bill for the commission comprises 55 clauses, of which the two parties have agreed on 53 clauses.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders called the new commission \u2018toothless\u2019 and raised their voice against it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD Nov 01 (TNS): Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid said on Wednesday that all National Accountability Beureu under-trial proceedings will be moved to the new national accountability commission.
