A 14-year-old has been identified as a suspect and is currently in custody.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis attack has left a man fighting for his life and with terrible eye injuries,\u201d Detective Chief Inspector Gordon Henderson said.\u00a0\u201cThis was an innocent man going about his work as a delivery driver, who may never see again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Delivery drivers have been particularly vulnerable to acid attacks and have protested\u00a0to gain more protection. The British government has responded to an increase in acid attacks by making it illegal to carry acid in a public place without legitimate cause.
