{"id":29975,"date":"2017-11-09T16:20:44","date_gmt":"2017-11-09T11:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=29975"},"modified":"2017-11-09T16:20:44","modified_gmt":"2017-11-09T11:20:44","slug":"over-two-lakh-chinese-book-ticket-for-mars-trip-in-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=29975","title":{"rendered":"Over two lakh Chinese book ticket for Mars trip in 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MUMBAI Nov 09 (TNS):<\/strong> As many as 2,62,752 people from China have a booked a flight to the Red Planet (Mars)\u00a0\u00a0via Nasa\u2019s InSight (Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport)\u00a0mission\u00a0which is slated to launch on May 5, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>According to Nasa, the first is the US with 6, 76,773 names followed by China with 2, 62,752 names.\u00a0India ranks third in the global list with 1, 38,889 people whose names have been submitted for the Mars mission.<\/p>\n<p>The total number of names received by Nasa from all over the world is 2,429,807, reported the TOI.<\/p>\n<p>Nasa says that those who submitted their names were provided online \u2018boarding passes\u2019 for the mission.<\/p>\n<p>The names are being etched on a silicon wafer microchip using an electron beam to form letters with lines one one-thousandth the diameter of a human hair.
