{"id":31064,"date":"2017-11-15T13:54:13","date_gmt":"2017-11-15T08:54:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=31064"},"modified":"2017-11-15T13:54:13","modified_gmt":"2017-11-15T08:54:13","slug":"ppp-unveils-golden-jubilee-logo-for-foundation-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=31064","title":{"rendered":"PPP unveils golden jubilee logo for foundation day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KARACHI Nov 15 (TNS):<\/strong> Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) unveiled on Wednesday the official logo for its Golden Jubilee Foundation Day on November 30, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The party has planned a rally in Islamabad to mark its 50th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>PPP was founded by former prime minister and popular leader Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on November 30, 1967. The party, through a mass mandate, managed to form the federal government thrice in its 50-year political journey.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a press conference on October 13, PPP leader Chaudhry Manzoor said: \u201cPPP has survived four martial laws and remained firm in its vision\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>PPP continues to serve people the same way it did before, he added.<\/p>\n<p>The party is known for braving the harsh dictatorship of General Zia-ul-Haq, who not only dismissed the Bhutto-led government but was also perceived to be involved in the controversial decision against the party leader, leading to his hanging.<\/p>\n<p>After Bhutto\u2019s demise, the party was led by his wife late Nusrat Bhutto.<\/p>\n<p>Later, his daughter late Benazir Bhutto took the party\u2019s helm of affairs till her tragic assassination at Rawalpindi\u2019s Liaquat Bagh on Dec 27, 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The party is now led by Benazir&#8217;s son, Bilawal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI Nov 15 (TNS): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) unveiled on Wednesday the official logo for its Golden Jubilee Foundation Day on November 30, 2017.
