{"id":31081,"date":"2017-11-15T14:36:15","date_gmt":"2017-11-15T09:36:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=31081"},"modified":"2017-11-15T14:36:15","modified_gmt":"2017-11-15T09:36:15","slug":"after-a-month-behind-bars-qavi-vows-to-work-on-prison-reforms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=31081","title":{"rendered":"After a month behind bars, Qavi vows to work on prison reforms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MULTAN Nov 15 (TNS):<\/strong> Mufti Abdul Qavi, who is on trial in Qandeel Baloch murder case, said on Wednesday that he, will make suggestions for improving the conditions of prisons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring my detention, I saw problems in jails up-close,&#8221; he said during a media talk here, adding that he will extend maximum cooperation to the families of the prisoners if they contact him.<\/p>\n<p>About the murder case, Qavi said that the entire thing is in front of everyone and alleged that failed attempts are being made to twist the case.<\/p>\n<p>He said that everything will become clear once the charge-sheet in the case is submitted.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31083\" src=\"https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/qandeel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/qandeel.jpg 690w, https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/qandeel-300x165.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sessions court on Tuesday granted bail to Mufti Abdul Qavi, a suspect in the murder of social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch, a day after his judicial remand was extended.<\/p>\n<p>On October 18, Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Pervez issued non-bailable warrants for Qavi after investigation officer Noor Akbar requested the court to do so on the grounds that the cleric is not cooperating with the police.<\/p>\n<p>The cleric was later arrested after reportedly attempting to escape.<\/p>\n<p>After being arrested, Qavi complained of chest pain and was admitted to a hospital.
