{"id":31144,"date":"2017-11-15T19:33:08","date_gmt":"2017-11-15T14:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=31144"},"modified":"2017-11-15T19:33:08","modified_gmt":"2017-11-15T14:33:08","slug":"london-buses-showcase-anti-pakistan-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=31144","title":{"rendered":"London buses showcase anti-Pakistan campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>London, Nov. 15 (TNS):<\/strong> More than 100 buses in London are being used for anti-Pakistan advertisement campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Similar campaign was launched in Geneva and London taxicabs against which Pakistan government had lodged strong protest with Swiss and British governments.<\/p>\n<p>According to Indian media reports, World Baloch Organisation (WBO) has launched the third phase of a malicious campaign against Pakistan after taxis and billboards.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to Islamabad\u2019s concerns over the latest anti-Pakistan advertisements, British High Commissioner Thomas Drew said, \u201cWe [UK] fully respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan of which Balochistan is and will continue to be an integral part.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, this time, Drew also highlighted the British government\u2019s helplessness in controlling the very propaganda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand the strength of feeling about adverts in London. The British government does not and cannot control advertising in the UK, but our own position is clear,\u201d added the British high commissioner.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan,\u00a0on November 3, had summoned the British high commissioner to formally lodge a protest after Pakistani social media users spotted the taxicabs on London roads and even shared their pictures.<\/p>\n<p>The Foreign\u00a0Office had termed the anti-Pakistan advertisements a direct attack on Pakistani\u2019s territorial integrity and sovereignty.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan later announced that Transport for London (TfL), the body that runs London\u2019s transport network, has ordered the removal of anti-Pakistan propaganda advertisements from taxicabs in London after the authorities drew the attention of the British officials to the offensive material.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>London, Nov. 15 (TNS): More than 100 buses in London are being used for anti-Pakistan advertisement campaign.
