Islamabad, Nov. 18 (TNS): Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has appealed to Ulema to play their role in ending the sit-in by a religious party in Islamabad.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a delegation of protesters was in talks with the government.<\/p>\n
The government delegation is being led by Senator Raja Zafarul Haq, whereas protesters are being headed by Pir Afzal Qadri.<\/p>\n
All educational institutes and commercial activities remained suspended in the area on suspicion of an expected crackdown on the protesters.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do not want any bloodshed in the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh),\u201d said the interior minister.<\/p>\n
According to a statement, the Interior Minister directed the Islamabad administration to postpone the operation against protesters for next twenty-four hours.<\/p>\n
He said the passage of the bill regarding finality of Prophethood is a historic achievement of the parliament and no one can alter this till the Day of Judgment.<\/p>\n
He said after the passage of the bill, there is no justification for any sit-in.<\/p>\n
