{"id":34608,"date":"2017-12-03T12:39:37","date_gmt":"2017-12-03T07:39:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=34608"},"modified":"2017-12-03T12:39:37","modified_gmt":"2017-12-03T07:39:37","slug":"ubl-commits-to-water-sustainability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=34608","title":{"rendered":"UBL commits to Water Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD Dec 03 (TNS):<\/strong>\u00a0 UBL recently collaborated with Hisaar Foundation, an NGO that works for water, food and livelihood security for \u2018The Future of Water\u2019 Conference.<\/p>\n<p>The two day event focused on water conservation and the future of this scarce commodity in a politically challenged new world order.<\/p>\n<p>At the conference\u2019s closing ceremony, Ali Habib, Head of Corporate Affairs &amp; Marketing, UBL (2nd right, along with other delegates) spoke about the need for collaborative efforts to combat the impact of water scarcity and highlighted the role financial institutions can play in water sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUBL recognizes the value of financial inclusion at the lowest levels of society\u201d he said, \u201cHaving easy access to water provides individuals with the freedom to positively utilize their time. This economic empowerment allows these individuals to contribute to the economy of their village\/town.
