{"id":34737,"date":"2017-12-04T00:56:11","date_gmt":"2017-12-03T19:56:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=34737"},"modified":"2017-12-04T00:56:11","modified_gmt":"2017-12-03T19:56:11","slug":"load-shedding-over-mile-stone-of-producing-more-than-required-electricity-achieved-claims-minister-for-power-division","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=34737","title":{"rendered":"Load shedding over, mile stone of producing more than required electricity achieved, claims Minister for Power Division"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD, Dec 04 (TNS):<\/strong> In what could be called a big news for Pakistanis, who has been suffering acute shortage of electricity for more than a decade, Federal Govt on Sunday has announced that the misery is over now as it has achieved the milestone of producing more than required electricity.<br \/>\nFederal Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari , while announcing it proudly during a press conference, has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had fulfilled the promise, which it had made to the public four and a half years ago, of producing surplus electricity.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-34738\" src=\"https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Opera-Snapshot_2017-12-04_005030_www.geo_.tv_.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"458\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Opera-Snapshot_2017-12-04_005030_www.geo_.tv_.png 500w, https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Opera-Snapshot_2017-12-04_005030_www.geo_.tv_-300x143.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 458px) 100vw, 458px\" \/>The overall electricity generation at present had gone up to 16,477 megawatt, which was about 2700 megawatt more than the demand, he said while addressing a press conference here.<br \/>\nAwais Leghari said that when the PML-N came into power in 2013, the country was producing only 9,279 megawatt electricity against the demand of 11,800 megawatt, facing average shortfall of 2500 megawatt and almost eight to ten hours load-shedding.<br \/>\nHe said maximum number of feeders across the country would be turned to zero load-shedding from December 4.<br \/>\nThere would be no load-shedding at 5,297 feeders out of total 8,600.
