New Delhi, Dec 7 (TNS):\u00a0<\/strong>Former Foreign Minister\u00a0Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri\u00a0emphasised that there was no solution to the\u00a0Kashmir issue\u00a0except to hold a dialogue, adding\u00a0New Delhi\u00a0was too important for\u00a0Islamabad\u00a0to ignore.<\/p>\n

Speaking at an event ‘The Current State of India-Pakistan Relations’ along with Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar on Thursday in New Delhi Kasuri said, “India is too important a country for Pakistan to ignore. We can never ignore India; it’s a much larger country with much larger resources.

“We have a completely different narrative on Jammu and Kashmir, but we agree we have fought wars and suffered from it. India and Pakistan have to progress together,” he added.<\/p>\n

Kasuri further said, “Neither can win but both will loose and intelligent people say, in a war, there can be no lasting solution. I don’t know any condition when there was peace after hosting wars,” adding, “my conclusion is that there is no solution except to hold a dialogue.”<\/p>\n

The former foreign minister also lashed out at United States President Donald Trump, and emphasized that Pakistan couldn’t be isolated as it was at an important strategic location.<\/p>\n

“They would isolate Pakistan? Let me tell you Pakistan cannot be isolated. Pakistan is important, not just for your strategic location, but it is a Muslim part,” he said.<\/p>\n
