{"id":36043,"date":"2017-12-10T13:30:31","date_gmt":"2017-12-10T08:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=36043"},"modified":"2017-12-10T13:30:31","modified_gmt":"2017-12-10T08:30:31","slug":"mani-shankar-aiyar-held-secret-meetings-with-pakistan-says-modi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=36043","title":{"rendered":"Mani Shankar Aiyar held secret meetings with Pakistan: says Modi\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ahemabad, Dec. 10 (TNS):<\/strong> India\u2019s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday alleged that Mani Shankar Aiyar, who was recently suspended from the Congress party for his \u201cneech\u201d remarks, held secret meetings with the Pakistan High Commissioner, Indian media reported.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a rally at Palanpur city in Banaskantha district, Modi accused Pakistan of helping the Congress and interfering in the Gujarat Assembly elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow news is that Pakistan HC and foreign minister and Manmohan Singh met at his house just before the Gujarat polls,\u201d said the prime minister, according to\u00a0<em>Firstpost<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a serious issue that I want to ask what is reason for secret meeting with Pakistanis. Former Pakistan Army Director General Arshad Rafique was willing to help make Ahmed Patel the chief minister.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the second time in two days that Modi has made such allegations. On Friday, he had\u00a0alleged\u00a0that after he became prime minister in 2014, Aiyar had travelled to Pakistan to get him \u201cremoved\u201d to improve relations between the two countries. Modi said the Congress had then tried to muffle the episode, and did not take any action against Aiyar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr Mani Shankar Aiyar told people when he visited Pakistan that remove Modi from the way and then see what will happen to India-Pakistan peace,\u201d the prime minister had said at a rally in Banaskantha. \u201cWhat did he mean by removing me from the way?
