{"id":41241,"date":"2018-01-01T20:23:55","date_gmt":"2018-01-01T15:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=41241"},"modified":"2018-01-01T20:23:55","modified_gmt":"2018-01-01T15:23:55","slug":"pakistan-india-exchange-lists-of-their-nuclear-installations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=41241","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan, India exchange lists of their\u00a0nuclear installations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New Delhi, Jan. 1 (TNS):<\/strong> Pakistan and India on Monday exchanged lists of their\u00a0nuclear installations\u00a0under an agreement that aims to prevent both sides from attacking such facilities, Indian media reported.<\/p>\n<p>The exchange was done through diplomatic channels simultaneously at New Delhi and Islamabad, said Indian\u00a0ministry of externals affairs\u00a0(MEA) in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>This is the twenty-seventh consecutive exchange of such a list between the two countries, the MEA added.<\/p>\n<p>The Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear installations between India and Pakistan that governs the exchange of these lists was signed on December 31, 1988 and came into force on January 27, 1991.<br \/>\nIt ensures that both countries inform each other of nuclear installations and facilities that are to be covered under the agreement on the first of January every year.<\/p>\n<p>The list-exchange comes in the backdrop of a heated back-and-forth between the two countries over meeting of Indian terrorist\u00a0Kulbhushan Jadhav with his family as New Delhi negatively responded to Islamabad\u2019s goodwill gesture.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi, Jan. 1 (TNS): Pakistan and India on Monday exchanged lists of their\u00a0nuclear installations\u00a0under an agreement that aims to prevent both sides from attacking such facilities, Indian media reported.
