{"id":41641,"date":"2018-01-03T14:03:24","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T09:03:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=41641"},"modified":"2018-01-03T14:05:46","modified_gmt":"2018-01-03T09:05:46","slug":"govt-disburses-rs14bn-for-textile-sector-under-pms-export-enhancement-package","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=41641","title":{"rendered":"Govt disburses Rs14bn for textile sector under PM\u2018s Export Enhancement Package"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD Jan 03 (TNS):<\/strong> The government has disbursed Rs 14 billion among the textile sector against claims for Rs 21 billion through the State Bank of Pakistan under the Prime Minister\u2019s Export Enhancement Package till December 21.<\/p>\n<p>The Rs 162 billion Export Enhancement Package was aimed at helping the textile sector to gain competitiveness in the international market in order to enhance the country\u2019s exports, a senior official of Ministry of Commerce and textiles industry said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government wants to revive confidence of the textile sector through the package,\u201d he said, adding the package would expand to other industrial sectors, including the pharmaceuticals. \u201cWe are committed to providing an enabling business environment to all the industrial sectors,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The government, the official said, had also given procedural and tax relaxations on the import of textile machinery for the modernization of industry and to enhance the capacity of the sector. The official said that through this package cost of doing business would come down in the country.<\/p>\n<p>All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) General Secretary Anis-ul- Haq stressed on the need for providing a competitive business environment to the textile sector to enhance exports.
