{"id":41679,"date":"2018-01-03T15:26:59","date_gmt":"2018-01-03T10:26:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=41679"},"modified":"2018-01-03T15:26:59","modified_gmt":"2018-01-03T10:26:59","slug":"arshad-vohra-case-ecp-summons-replies-from-concerned-parties-by-jan-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=41679","title":{"rendered":"Arshad Vohra case: ECP summons replies from concerned parties by Jan 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD Jan 3 (TNS):<\/strong>\u00a0 The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday conducted hearing on Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Chief Dr Farooq Sattar\u2019s petition to de-seat Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Arshad Vohra from the post of Karachi\u2019s deputy mayor.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Election Commissioner Justice Sardar Raza headed the proceedings. The ECP ordered the concerned parties of the case to submit their written replies by January 11, and to present arguments on next hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Vohra\u2019s counsel opted the stance that his client was never a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan and was elected on Muttahida Qaumi Movement\u2019s ticket.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer claimed to prove that MQM and MQM-P are different parties.
