{"id":43458,"date":"2018-01-11T14:36:50","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T09:36:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=43458"},"modified":"2018-01-11T14:36:50","modified_gmt":"2018-01-11T09:36:50","slug":"kasur-incident-cjp-urges-lawyers-to-end-boycott-of-court-proceedings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=43458","title":{"rendered":"Kasur incident: CJP urges lawyers to end boycott of court proceedings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD Jan 11 (TNS):<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0Expressing condolences over the brutal murder of a minor in Kasur, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday called upon the lawyers to end their strike over the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The CJP made these remarks while hearing the case of Al Razi Medical College Peshawar earlier today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEntire nation\u2019s head hangs in shame over the incident in Kasur,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Making a comment on the strike being observed by Punjab Bar Council, the chief justice said the strike call by lawyers over the incident is unjustified since the entire nation is in grief and anger.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKasur incident is an embarrassment for people across the country as Zainab was their daughter too,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>The Punjab Bar Council has demanded an immediate arrest of the culprit(s) and announced a complete boycott of courts today.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Nisar emphasized that protest is a fundamental right to every citizen but a boycott of court would delay the proceedings in many cases and litigants will suffer from it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy wife is even more aggrieved than I at the incident,\u201d Chief Justice Nisar remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the CJP had taken suo-motu notice of the incident and ordered IG Punjab to present an inquiry report within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>He strongly condemned the incident and announced justice to be made at any cost.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD Jan 11 (TNS): \u00a0\u00a0Expressing condolences over the brutal murder of a minor in Kasur, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday called upon the lawyers to end their strike over the incident.
