{"id":43605,"date":"2018-01-12T01:10:06","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T20:10:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=43605"},"modified":"2018-01-12T01:10:06","modified_gmt":"2018-01-11T20:10:06","slug":"peace-restored-in-pakistan-now-afghanistans-turn-to-do-the-same-dg-ispr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=43605","title":{"rendered":"Peace Restored in Pakistan, Now Afghanistan\u2019s Turn to do the same: DG ISPR\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KARACHI, Jan 12 (TNS):<\/strong> The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Thursday said that Pakistan has restored peace on its soil and now Afghanistan will also have to do so.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with a private TV channel, the DG ISPR said, \u201cFighting war against terrorism was a difficult phase, however, we restored peace on our side and now Afghanistan will have to do so.\u201d He said the Taliban had influence in seven tribal agencies in Pakistan\u2019s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), but the Pakistani nation proved that they were determined to eliminate terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>The chief military spokesperson has said that there cannot be lasting peace in the region unless security and stability is ensured in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no terrorism in Pakistan before the Afghan war and our target is to take Pakistan to the pre-war peaceful era,\u201d Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said during the interview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeace has returned to the Pakistan and its future is prosperous,\u201d he added. \u201cThe International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) could never have defeated al Qaeda in Afghanistan without Pakistan\u2019s support, the DG said when asked about US President Trump\u2019s recent tirade against Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan, he said, proposed to Afghanistan a bilateral border control mechanism. \u201cThe issues at the border can be improved through better coordination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maj Gen Ghafoor said that Pakistan successfully defeated terrorism through Operation Zarb-e-Azb. \u201cIt was decided that the terrorists will not be allowed to flee to Afghanistan.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI, Jan 12 (TNS): The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor on Thursday said that Pakistan has restored peace on its soil and now Afghanistan will also have to do so.
