{"id":44230,"date":"2018-01-14T19:10:51","date_gmt":"2018-01-14T14:10:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=44230"},"modified":"2018-01-14T19:10:51","modified_gmt":"2018-01-14T14:10:51","slug":"turkish-passenger-plane-skidded-off-runway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=44230","title":{"rendered":"Turkish passenger plane skidded off runway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ankara, Jan. 14 (TNS): <\/strong>Panic broke out on a passenger jet when it skidded off the runway at a Turkish airport and plunged down the side of a cliff overlooking the sea.<\/p>\n<p>The Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737-800 with 168 passengers and crew had flown from Ankara and landed at Trabzon on the Black Sea coast, officials say on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone on board was evacuated safely, provincial governor Yucel Yavuz said. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the accident is being investigated, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>State-run Anadolu news agency said there was panic on board as the plane went out of control.<\/p>\n<p>Pictures show the jet lying nose down on a muddy slope just metres from the water&#8217;s edge.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We tilted to the side. The front was down while the plane&#8217;s rear was up.
