{"id":44774,"date":"2018-01-16T20:41:25","date_gmt":"2018-01-16T15:41:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=44774"},"modified":"2018-01-16T20:41:25","modified_gmt":"2018-01-16T15:41:25","slug":"lhc-larger-bench-to-hear-petition-against-qadris-lahore-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=44774","title":{"rendered":"LHC larger bench to hear petition against Qadri\u2019s Lahore rally"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Lahore, Jan. 16 (TNS):<\/strong> A larger bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday decided to take up a petition against the Pakistan Awami Tehreek&#8217;s (PAT) upcoming protest against the PML-N government, set to begin from tomorrow (Wednesday).<\/p>\n<p>LHC Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah had ordered the formation of a full bench, under Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan and comprising Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Shahid Karim.<\/p>\n<p>However, just as the larger bench sat down to start the hearing, Justice Farrukh excused being part of the bench, citing personal reasons.<\/p>\n<p>The bench was then reformed with Justice Aminuddin leading it and Justice Shahid Jamil Khan replacing Justice Farrukh.<\/p>\n<p>The petition was filed by Advocate AK Dogar in the name of the lawyers&#8217; forum.<\/p>\n<p>According to the petition, protests called by political parties are against Article 124 of the Constitution, adding that such protests may cause disruption in the country.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lahore, Jan. 16 (TNS): A larger bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday decided to take up a petition against the Pakistan Awami Tehreek&#8217;s (PAT) upcoming protest against the PML-N government, set to begin from tomorrow (Wednesday).
