Islamabad, March 18 (TNS):<\/strong> Pakistan and Afghanistan have reiterated their commitment to peace and stability of each other and agreed to work in a cooperative framework for a brighter future, state media reported on Sunday.<\/p>\n

According to statement issued by the NSA office, the understanding reached at the meetings of National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua with Afghan leadership during his visit to Kabul.<\/p>\n

The NSA had elaborate and successful meetings with President Ashraf Ghani, Chief Executive Mr Abdullah Abdullah, his counterpart Haneef Atmar, Minister of Defense and NDS Chief.<\/p>\n

By addressing each other\u2019s concerns, both sides expressed their resolve to work together and enhance cooperation to improve bilateral relations.<\/p>\n

Nasser Khan Janjua assured the Afghan Officials of Pakistan’s full support for the vision of peace.<\/p>\n

He termed Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s invitation to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as a good omen and will help in bringing both the countries more closer in the war against terrorism.<\/p>\n

Afghan National Security Adviser during the meeting said we should work for our shared interests in all fields including political, economic and security.<\/p>\n

He said we must protect our relationship and advance it further.<\/p>\n

President Ashraf Ghani also stressed on securing the future of both the countries by ending and not winning the war.<\/p>\n

He also expressed strong support for regional connectivity with Central Asian Republics to reap the benefits of ideal geo-strategic locations of Afghanistan and Pakistan.<\/p>\n
