{"id":63105,"date":"2018-05-01T16:20:56","date_gmt":"2018-05-01T11:20:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=63105"},"modified":"2018-05-01T16:25:00","modified_gmt":"2018-05-01T11:25:00","slug":"pakistan-drops-to-7th-place-in-icc-test-team-rankings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=63105","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan drops to 7th place in ICC Test Team Rankings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Islamabad, May 1 (TNS): <\/strong>Pakistan Cricket Team dropped to seventh place in the\u00a0International Cricket Council Test team rankings after the annual update on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0India has consolidated their position at the top of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Team Rankings following the new update in the rankings.<\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0ICC&#8217;s annual update, the series results from 2014-15 are removed and outcomes from the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons are weighted at 50 percent.<\/p>\n<p>India\u00a0has stretched their lead over\u00a0South Africa\u00a0from four to 13 points after gaining four points to reach an aggregate of 125 while\u00a0South Africa\u00a0have lost five points and slipped to 112.<\/p>\n<p>Australia are placed third with 106 points after gaining four points following the update, taking back the position from\u00a0New Zealand, who had overtaken them at the last cut-off date of April 3.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-63110 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/tttp-247x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"453\" height=\"552\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The change in positions saw\u00a0New Zealand\u00a0assure themselves of two lac dollars for finishing third.\u00a0India\u00a0and\u00a0South Africa\u00a0had won 1 million dollars and five lac dollars, respectively for finishing first and second at the cut-off date.<\/p>\n<p>After the update,\u00a0New Zealand\u00a0remains on 102 points while England has inched closer, reaching 98 after gaining one point.<\/p>\n<p>In another interesting move, Bangladesh has moved ahead of the West Indies, who are now stranded in ninth position for the first time ever.<\/p>\n<p>The West Indies have lost five points and are now standing on 67 points while Bangladesh has gained four points to reach 75, eight points clear of the West Indies.<\/p>\n<p>Sri Lanka\u00a0remains at sixth position after losing one point while Zimbabwe has gained one point to reach two.
