{"id":63503,"date":"2018-05-03T18:25:45","date_gmt":"2018-05-03T13:25:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=63503"},"modified":"2018-05-03T18:27:02","modified_gmt":"2018-05-03T13:27:02","slug":"k-electrics-powerplant-trips-as-heatwave-in-karachi-gets-worse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=63503","title":{"rendered":"K-Electric&#8217;s Powerplant trips, as Heatwave in Karachi gets worse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KARACHI, May 3 (TNS):\u00a0<\/strong>A stint of an unbearable heatwave which has gripped Karachi this week has been made even worse, as one of K Electric&#8217;s power plants tripped on Thursday, in a result of which the citizens suffered excessive load-shedding.<\/p>\n<p>K-Electrics Bin Qasim power plant tripped due which the city submerged into darkness in the wake of untimely load-shedding\u00a0in an already soaring temperature.<\/p>\n<p>The heatwave prompted the hospitals in the metropolis to declare a two-day emergency.<\/p>\n<p>K-Electric authority officials explained earlier today that Karachi will face excessive load-shedding than usual and areas exempted from the routine power outages will also face temporary load-shedding\u00a0due to 200 MW shortfall of energy.<\/p>\n<p>Among the areas that will face increased power outage are Clifton, PECHS, Gizri, the company confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Karachi forecast indicates that the temperature in the metropolis is set to soar to 43\u00b0C, according to the Met office heatwave is expected to last till Friday.<\/p>\n<p>To treat the victims of the heatwave Health Department has decided to set a special ward to facilitate the citizens under the radar of scorching heat.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI, May 3 (TNS):\u00a0A stint of an unbearable heatwave which has gripped Karachi this week has been made even worse, as one of K Electric&#8217;s power plants tripped on Thursday, in a result of which the citizens suffered excessive load-shedding.
