{"id":67847,"date":"2018-06-02T11:44:15","date_gmt":"2018-06-02T06:44:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=67847"},"modified":"2018-06-02T11:44:15","modified_gmt":"2018-06-02T06:44:15","slug":"ecp-summoned-a-meeting-after-lhc-verdict-against-nomination-papers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=67847","title":{"rendered":"ECP summoned a meeting after LHC verdict against nomination papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, June 2 (TNS): The Election Commission of Pakistan called a meeting following the Lahore High Court\u2019s verdict annulling the nomination papers prepared by the Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Lahore High Court declared invalid the nomination papers in a verdict on the petition challenging the Section 60, 110 and 137 of the Election Act 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The ECP is likely to make changes in the Form-A and Form-B in a called meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission also restricts Returning Officers (ROs) from issuing nomination papers.<\/p>\n<p>The judge while declaring null and void the nomination papers prepared by the Parliament had ordered the ECP to prepare new nomination papers.<\/p>\n<p>The court also ordered the ECP to again add the requirements of Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution in the nomination papers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; ISLAMABAD, June 2 (TNS): The Election Commission of Pakistan called a meeting following the Lahore High Court\u2019s verdict annulling the nomination papers prepared by the Parliament.
