ISLAMABAD, June 6 (TNS): As general elections approaching closer, PML-N also complained about pre-polls rigging as rival party PTI already levelled similar allegations in connection with Reham Khan\u2019s upcoming book.<\/p>\n
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday claimed pre-electoral rigging has already begun in the country.<\/p>\n
Talking informally to media persons outside an accountability court in Islamabad, Nawaz Sharif said: \u201cAhead of elections, there is always a debate regarding rigging and it has already started\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cRigging was initiated the day when I was removed as the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and was disqualified for lifetime,\u201d the ousted Prime Minister said.<\/p>\n
Lamenting that the Senate tickets he had distributed to party members had also been declared null and void, the former premier questioned, \u201cIs there another example of not being allowed to contest on Senate tickets that were handed out?\u201d<\/p>\n
Nawaz further said, “Suo motu notices are taken on every issue but when PML-N leaders are forced to join other parties then there’s no notice.”<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one can stop change. Change will come but one that is necessary for the nation,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n
Responding to a question regarding TV presenter Reham Khan\u2019s upcoming book, Nawaz said, \u201cImran Khan and his people would know about her book,\u00a0not me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve only read about the book in newspapers,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
