The previous two cases were also reported in District Dakki.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan is one of only three countries in the world, along with Afghanistan and Nigeria, that suffers from endemic polio, a childhood virus that can cause paralysis or death.<\/p>\n<p>In April, the government had launched a\u00a0nationwide polio vaccination drive to reach 38.7 million children in order to eradicate the paralysing and potentially deadly virus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; QUETTA, June 8 (TNS):\u00a0The third case of polio was confirmed in Balochistan\u2019s District Dakki on Friday, local media quoting officials reported.
