The episode drew intense criticism from Indian fans.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-68454\" src=\"https:\/\/tns.world\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Capture-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"247\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of\u00a0<em>Quantico.<\/em>\u00a0That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I\u2019m a proud Indian and that will never change,\u201d Priyanka tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the episode titled\u00a0<em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">The Blood of Romeo<\/em>, aired on June 1.\u00a0During her investigations, Parrish finds a religious Hindu symbol \u2013 a Rudraksh chain \u2013 on the neck of one of the suspects leading her to conclude that the plot was devised by Indian nationalists to frame Pakistan in a nuclear terror attack.<\/p>\n<p>The producers at the US network\u00a0<em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">ABC Studios<\/em>\u00a0that airs the show also extended an apology on Saturday, saying they regret stepping into \u201ca complex political issue\u201d and they did not intend to offend anyone.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read, \u201cABC Studios and the executive producers of\u00a0<em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">Quantico<\/em>\u00a0would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode,\u00a0<em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">The Blood of Romeo<\/em>. The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn\u2019t create the show, nor does she write or direct it.\u00a0She has no involvement in the casting of the show or the storylines depicted in the series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The network also stressed that\u00a0<em style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">Quantico<\/em>\u00a0is a work of fiction.\u00a0\u201cThe show has featured antagonists of many different ethnicities and backgrounds but in this case, we inadvertently and regrettably stepped into a complex political issue.
