The MQM-P had moved the top electoral supervisory body against Sattar in the wake of intra-party fissures over award of party tickets in the recently-concluded Senate elections. The erstwhile MQM-P convener had then challenged the verdict before the court.<\/p>\n<p>In the petition, Sattar\u00a0said he\u00a0had been \u2018illegally\u2019 removed\u00a0as party head on February 11 by MQM-P Central Coordination Committee (CCC) members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe said illegal removal was confirmed by the learned ECP in its March 26 order,\u201d the petition read.
