Edinburgh, June 11 (TNS): Scotland defeated England in a thrilling One Dayer in Edinburgh on Monday, as they caused a historic upset by beating the No.1 team in the ODI world rankings.<\/p>\n
The Sole one-dayer in Edinburgh turned out to be a mouth-watering contest as the three lions captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to field first.<\/p>\n
The Scottish showed great resilience against the English seamers as Callum Macleod thwarted them all over the park and scored a, \u201conce in a career\u201d innings of 140* to put the Englishman on the backfoot, on the other end skipper Kyle Coetzer and George Munsey scored half centuries to support the heroic innings of Macleod.<\/p>\n
Scotland posted a mountainous total of 371-5 to challenge England.<\/p>\n
In reply England looked on the track of overcoming a massive target of 372 as they blasted the Scottish bowlers across the park in the powerplay overs with their trade mark aggressive approach.<\/p>\n
