{"id":68641,"date":"2018-06-12T14:25:28","date_gmt":"2018-06-12T09:25:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=68641"},"modified":"2018-06-12T14:25:28","modified_gmt":"2018-06-12T09:25:28","slug":"zaibab-rape-murder-case-sc-dismisses-imran-ali-appeal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=68641","title":{"rendered":"Zaibab rape\/murder case: SC dismisses Imran Ali appeal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>LAHORE, June 12 (TNS):\u00a0In a major development, the top court of the country on Tuesday dismissed an appeal\u00a0by filed by convict Imran Ali challenging the death sentence handed to him by an anti-terrorism court for the rape and murder of a six-year-old\u00a0girl Zainab earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>A bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa dismissed the review petition against the sentence handed to Imran for Zainab\u2019s rape and murder at the apex court\u2019s Lahore Registry.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media after the apex court\u2019s decision, Zainab\u2019s father thanked the apex court, the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) and the prosecution for maintaining the verdict.
